Bear in mind that the uniforms worn by the vets in those figures were made in the 1850s. Though generally accurate, there are some details that follow the 2nd Empire military fashion. For example, the lapels in the Dragon uniform (2nd pic) are wide at the shoulders and narrow at the waist in typical 2nd Empire fashion, while 1st Empire uniform lapels were more or less straight.
