Nationality?

I will probably get thunder and lightning from some, but I'd like to make a suggestion. Could we indicate the nationality of the modeller/poster in the identification area of each posting? I can remember a few of the New Zealanders and Australians and British fellows and gals, but frankly, there are a lot of us on this forum and it's a bit hard to associate location and the poster some times. Maybe just a flag? Maybe it should be voluntary and part of the member info whether they want to indicate their nationality?

For us European's the P&P from the US is to expensive.

The information is already available, all you have to do is click on their user name... providing they have submitted the info in their profile.

Yes, I knew I could get it from the user profile, but, to be clear, what I was thinking about was a little flag right at the bottom of each member "icon"? - whatever it's called just below their name and on each posting. Or the name of the nation or whatever the member wants...

I'm lazy, Roger. I freely admit it.

I banged this drum a few months ago without too much success. It is irritating when someone posts items for sale and you have no idea if they are posting from the Equator or Arctic
I did encourage a Canadian member to put together a post "Calling all Canadians" which resulted in a number of responses and a few people made contacts.
I respect the fact that some people prefer the solitude of the hobby, never visit shows and just do their own thing. However there are others who are unaware of shows, clubs or sometimes fellow modellers living on their doorstep.
Perhaps we should think about some sort of national register linked to Planet with just a name, country and location?

I am in agreement Dan, the old PF had that facility and I found it very useful, I think it should be visible along with your name and avatar like it used to be.
