Thanks for that link, Guy. What a treasure of old pictures of real Indians! Some of them, especially the Sioux and Cheyenne, reminded me of Quang's mounted Cheyenne figure, very interesting. Many of these indians seem to have dressed exaclty like Quang's figure, with cloth leggings and breechcloth and a cotton shirt - some even also with a vest... I guess this mix of traditional native american and eurpean clothing would have been the typical appearance of Plains warriors during the second half of the 19th C. ?
