**** neanderthalensis - Bust H&V miniatures

Hello my friends!

I'm not sure if I should post this bust on this forum as this is for historic figures.... and this bust is Prehistoric!!! LOL.
Magnificent bust from H&V miniatures. IMO it hasn't received the attention that it deserves.
I have been reading a few about the neanderthals and their story and last discovers are thrilling!!!

For the painting I wanted to try something new and try to go out of my comfort zone, so I have tried a OSL with it. I tried to depict the caveman as if it was near the fire, I think the bust is crying for it! I'm not 100% satisfied with the result but for been the first try I'm content.
If I can get some time I will write a step by step...

Of course ou shoukd post PF is not just historical , All figures of all scales are very welcome

Do like the way this is painted , nice fleshtones and the light from the fire on the arm

Be interested in seeing the SBS if possible

Why not enter something into Figure of the Month ( FOTM ) as well
