Chris, these resin busts are on the small side (about the size of a 120mm Verlinden-type figure), and based on the several I have, reasonably well cast. The models suffer a bit with the eyes, especially on those subjects with visored hats/helmets, but appear to be otherwise well sculpted. A display of these models would cover many of the uniform-and-headgear variations of the French Napoleonic forces, and conversions would seem to be possible. There is very little assembly (the occasional plume), and the clean-up of seams is not difficult.
From a painter's perspective, these busts are relatively simple and uncomplicated. Except as mentioned above regarding the eyes, the faces are generally similar, and should present an achievable challenge for both novice and advanced painters.
I think there are now about 20 different busts, including Napoleon himself. I think they represent exceptional value-for-money, especially for fans of French Napoleonic subjects. Don
