Hi all It’s Terry Just standing in for Steve (Who will be back shortly) we are pleased to announce the release of our New 75mm Clinch Rifles, Georgia Militia 1861. It was sculpted by our good friend Greg Girault.

Their will be an alternative arm. Instead of smoking a pipe it will be hand on hip. So it’s up to you what pose you prefer. We like the pipe version.

We don’t have a release date yet but it will be very soon. With Steve getting back and our casting back on track after the issues with the vignette and Bugler , it will not be long before this one is out.

Thanks for looking

Terry

Hi Nap, yes it’s based on the painting but we altered the arm. It’s an interesting uniform and as you say the officers cap is rare. We are looking forward to seeing what people do with it. Also the box art will be done by javier Montero as always.

We have a number of releases in the pipeline. We are just getting back on track and will have some great ne releases very soon

Hi John glad you like him he does have a style about him and with the two arms you can also do him with the hand on the hip.

Hi Simon, yes something different that’s the reason we do the early part of the war so meany interesting uniforms to have a go at.

Nice to see yet another unique uniform. Another one for the wish list. One thing only Terry; the bayonet in the pictures you posted doesn't look as distinctive a pattern as the swept curve shown in the Don Trioani painting. No big deal, I could scratchbuild a new one but would be nice if it could be addressed - or is it just the angle of the pictures?

Another TFB cracker, an interesting green uniform makes a change from the blues and greys.

Cheers Simon

Very appreciative of TFB doing this distinctive uniform! I too would like to see the sword like knife improved upon!

Can’t wait to get one of these kits. TFB continues to do releases that are unique, colorful as well as historically accurate

Thumbs to the team at TFB!

Hi David, I will pass it on to Greg. I think it’s sometimes how it looks on the photo it changes when seen in print. But will let him know. It has been through changes so another look will do no harm.

The idea is to do distinct uniforms from the start of the war, so much scope, we have other interesting subjects in the pipeline.

Hi Terry thank you for the support, we are trying to be different in the approach to the early war uniforms. We do try and research as much as we can. And listen to what people want to see. We have been looking at a couple of naval projects that might be interesting. But that’s future plans. We also have a mounted piece that we are keen to do so we shall see.

Hi Terry

David’s raised a good point ref bayonet, looking at the “knife” on sculpt compared with the picture ref it looks shorter ....I know there were many versions of course

Would make a distinctive bust as well ...just saying

Look forward to seeing more

Best wishes to Steve

Hi Nap, yes Greg has looked at various versions and will slightly alter the one in the photo. As to a bust you have given us something to think about as a companion to our Mississippi Bust we shall see.

Well you will be pleased to know my time in the hot seat is coming to an end and Steve will be back at the helm soon. It’s been a pleasure posting and maybe I will do more in the future. Hope to see you at Bugle call later in the year .
