I'm with you Dave, the bust is a MUST have. I consider all Andrea busts an "investment" due to higher costs, but this one I won't have any issues spending what they're asking!

I looked on the site and could not find the sculptor info for both the bust and grenadier. If anyone has that info, I'd appreciate seeing.

bestsoldiers will have this bust!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Marco will have this bust!!!!!!!!!
I love this bust!!!!!!!!

That Bust surely have character and that weathered look ... only not a big fan of slung swords on the back, something surely combersome in reality but on the other hand something fresh from the usual stereotype slung shield!

One of the best releases so far for 2008!

Grenadier look proud and the part ... I really like it as well!

This is the 1st time in a long time I have seen Andrea have some decent historical figures for release. Its been mostly in the fantasy range.

great bust i'm not that sure about the sword on the back and a couple of other things but does it matter. looking forward to seeing dave's paint job. dave.

Well you could change out the sword and put a bow on his back. Archers did carry their bows on their backs usually unstrung In a bag to protect it. But that figure really is the best of the bunch as for as that group goes. and yes shields were also slung on soldiers backs. Sometimes even on their chests to act as sort of breast plate. Border horse did that a lot. At lest we have evidence to suggest that they did. Derick's "Images of Ireland" shows that. Over all that figure is one of the best busts I have seen in some time. I mean look at that face.

I've been watching out for the release of this bust ,as i had first seen it on Andrea's calendar some time ago and the picture is a lot larger, and guess what, looks even better.A must have for me.

Like them all this time, seldom enough.

The Langer Kerl (long dude) would have been more effective if they had released Fredericks chubby father inspecting him to have a sense of the extraordinary body lenght of this unit. This subject cries for a vignette.
