Brilliant detail. Not sure about the overstretched left arm...loks a bit unnatural as does the hips being too square. Perhaps if the hand was cupped just at the magazine and the top half from the hips rotated to the left it would look more realistic. Absolutely stunning work having said that. The level of detail on the helmet alone is just unbelievable.

yes i know what you mean about the square to front and outstretched arm. Unfortunatley i cant post the photos i was given on here as they are OPSEC but trust me thats the pose in the brief.

I saw this sculpt which is absolutely incredible. It is a bit larger than what we normally paint but the detail is fantastic and one which would be right up your street. One of the most impressive modern figures I have seen. Again as you mention the left arm does look unconventional but is sculpted bang on. I suppose it gives added stability when firing the weapon.

Superb, echo Gordons comments the figure is based on a real pose and is absolutely correct. It is a pose that to most service people looks strange at first even seeing it in real life but is obviously adopted for full support of the weapon and being pulled in tight, never forgot those marksmanship principles

Unfortunately not Grant. Maurice is doing it as a bronze but I'd still like to get one and paint over it. It really is the dogs B's. It is 300mm scale which is maybe a bit too big for the usual resin kits we are used to.

While there is no doubt its a beautiful figure and the casting look terrific perhaps its the weight we need to know not its size.
Wonderful figure but not sure if I could lift it. I have a rather large casting of a Pipe Major and he will go into the bottom of my new figure cabinet, just in case!
