Been away too long, starting too many new figures and finishing none...but that`s life.

This just appeared over at Red Lancers: Item: AM200-01
ATELIER MAKET
200MM RESIN BUST
FRENCH OFFICER OF GUIDES C.1799 by M. Saez

Anyone seen it "in the resin" and have views on the quality of the casting and overall design.

Interesting face. Just my opinion, but not what I'd call a handsome face. I like it!!

Elsewhere several PF members have been bemoaning the "romantic ideal" and the "classic" style usually seen in busts and figures. This one doesn't take that path - - not meaning any kind of insult to the sculptor - - I think it's great!

Maybe an officer who spent too much time with the mademoiselles and the grape. What they used to call "dissipated"...

Anybody ever converted a bust on the sole basis of just liking the face? Hey - I might try it!

All the best,

Dan
