WOW!A beautiful new release by this dedicated to historical accuracy company.A beautiful release and on a purely Greek subject.Totally love it.well done El Taller and Miguel.

Oda.

Beautiful theme and relatively rare......
A rather controversial figure in Greek history that he and Venizelos ( primary political figure at the same times) dominated the political scene for many years. Finally he was forced to exile after the disaster of the Greek military expedition in Minor Asia (1921-1922) and died in 1923 in a hotel in Palermo, Italy.
I think that the above figure is based on the following painting ( from Georges Scott) that depicts Konstantine A on his horse during the victorious Second Balkan War: 73460B41-32D6-4A0E-9E56-ADAAFF3011B4.png

Hi Fokionas,
In the twenty characters that make up the Kings and Emperors series, there are more than two and more than three controversial characters. In the biographical review that accompanies each figure, we avoid, as far as possible, entering political or ideological assessments, limiting ourselves to placing the character in its historical context, giving more importance to its uniformological aspect.

This figure complements perfectly well the previous one of King Constantine I, who remains in Greek memory as one of the most conspicuous and controversial figures. The effort by EL TALLER to meet the requests of the Greek collectors to show their king in both uniforms --the German uniform and the Greek one-- is worth mentioning.

Thanks for your comment Paul. As I have already answered Fokionas some of the Kings and Emperors that will appear in the series, are controversial characters. That is why on this occasion, I found it very curious that a Greek king, arrived at Field Marshal from another country, and was not, as on other occasions, an honorary distinction. There are several kings with the rank of colonel of regiments of other countries.
