Sorry to comment but this figure pre-dates a Hospitaller in Malta, the Order came here in 1530! This is a Crusader ... sorry to be a pain but as I am maltese I find myself obliged to reply. Mind you the term Maltese Knight is not really right, the Order name was Hospitaller or the Order of the Knights of StJohn. Due to the long presence and the eight pointed cross assoiciated with our isles the term Maltese was included incidentally ...
