Hello Folks
These resin figures have been beautifully sculpted for me by Maurice Corry. They depict drummers of the 57th (West Middlesex) regiment of foot and are based on the famous Lady Butler painting 'steady the drums and fifes'. This painting shows the drummers and fifers formed up on the regiments right flank defiantly facing the french at the battle of Albuera during the Peninsular campaign. The unit suffered heavy casualties during this engagement including the colonel who, mortally wounded, had called out to his men 'Die hard the 57th' earning their nickname - 'The Diehards'.

Each figure is a great stand alone kit or can be displayed as a vignette. It is hoped that further kits will be added.

They can be painted to represent many other regiments of the napoleonic period and will make a very colourful british addition for the napoleonic collector.

I have a limited stock of these kits available at £32.50 per figure +£2.50 shipping.

Should anyone be interested in these or other figures please contact me on [email protected] . Further photographs are available on my website www.mitchesmilitarymodels.co.uk

I saw these figures in the making- as always, magnificent work from Moz Corry.
Drummers are a very colourful subject and, without bias, these two do capture the spirit of Lady Butlers painting!
Well Done!!!
