Dear Collectors,
since Kulmbach 2005 our company now presented a new serie of Hessen-Darmstadt Leibgarde Regiment 1871 till 1918. This serie is out of the time called Friedenszeit, peacetime between the wars. There is one shootist and an officer and a standard bearer. The officer and the shootist establish the diorama "Schießausbildung". Or in english pratise shooting. The third figure is a standardbearer with parade uniform.

The serie history of the Leibgarde Regiment Hessen-Darmstadt will be continued into the napoleonic period.

Hans - Welcome to PF! Your figures are excellent and very interesting! I'm also familiar with a couple of your competitors that have figures from this same period. It seems one for which German sculptors have a real fondness.

Entirely different subject, but I'd like a German opinion, if you'd be so kind. I'd like to read a good [English language] history of this between the wars period in Germany. Preferably one that gives a relatively unbiased or objective point of view. Could you recommend one?

All the best,
Dan

Hello Roc, hello Dan,

First thank you for your kindly greetings.

Dan:
As I have special relationships to Darmstadt and special interest in the history of this small grand duchy of Hessen-Darmstadt so we have to produce figures out of these enviroment first. The second serie will be look at the napoleonic period.

The fact that other competitors also have new releases to that period would be a chance.

But look to Bill Horan to his diorama "The Fallen Captain 1874" or "Flank Attack 1870".

But unfortunately my english is not good enough to present an accurate article out of the time between the wars 1870/71 and WW1.

All the best
Hannes
