Something I came across - Polish league of knight fighting. At first I thought, fair enough, another lot of "bugurt" happy fellows gingerly pretending to be hard knights

- but if you look closely - to say that these guys do full contact is to say nothing.

I guess they know how to manage their adrenaline.
I wonder what the injury rates are... and when someone is going to die

It makes me wonder what the difference in those re-enactors is to the real medievil knights as after several hits only bruises are left as a result?
Although Im aware that medievil meele often had the goal to have the opponent down on the ground where he would be rather defenceless against blows and thrusts with pinpoint accuracy in glitches or weak spots in the armour.

Are we going to see WWII re-enactors to follow this with live ammo?

I think this is probably as real as it has been back then, although chances are it was so crowded they couldnt even swing and had to poke repeatedly. I doubt modern armour reconstructions offer huge superiority over originals.

At some point you can see a fellow lost a helmet and someone stepped in with a white rag on a stick - so there is at least some intervention.
Redhead paramedic putting gloves on in the beginning of the clip makes me laugh - she probably didnt know what she was in for

Actually, this looks alot more my speed than the fencing clubs I've been looking at. Where do I sign up? Fencing meets MMA meets a hockey brawl... I love it!!!
