MCBST2
This bust is a study of a typical infantryman on internal security duties in Northern Ireland circa 1979/1980.
The bust has the standard Flak jacket worn by patrols at the time along with beret and* SLR, the standard infantry weapon of the time.
The weapon has the option of two sights, the SUIT(sight unit infantry trilux) or the IWS(individual weapon sight) seldom seen but occasionly used on night patrols, it was unpopular as it was heavy and cumbersome, it also gave out a high pitched tone when switched on and this had a detrimental effect on covert patrols as it could often summon every dog in the area.
The bust has three option of headdress, the first being the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, the second, the Cromwell helmet with visor and the third the Scottish Tam O Shanter.
