Hi all Our second set out of four that will comprise our Austerlitz vignette has been released!!

Title: Austerlitz II (Murat, Lannes and Mameluke Officer)
Sculptor: Antonio Zapatero Guardini
Scale: 28mm
Material: Metal

Available here

http://www.oniriaminiatures.com/tienda/figuras_en/austerlitz-ii/

This is a character set includes Murat, Lannes and a Mameluke officer and his flamboyant horse.
Antonio Zapatero has worked his magic into these little figures giving them real life appearance, like nobody else can in this small scale.
This set combines perfectly with our Austerlitz I set, or it can work perfectly as a vignette by its own.
We do hope you like this new release.

Thank you for your support

Excellent news by Oniria. Congratulations to Antonio for is brilliant work.

Saludos,
Pedro.

The boxart shows Murat in a very rare uniform, in which he has probably never been presented as a figure.

Anyway, he really carried it ...:

Only the feathers on the hat must painted in White (black = General, white =Marshall)

Source: French book "Murat, les Uniformes de la légende", (2005)

Cheers

I think, the feathers must be painted in white.

This painting of Horace Vernet shows Napoleon and his high commanders just before the battle of Austerlitz, Murat (with this Special uniform) is to be seen in the Background - with white feathers...:

Murat was appointed Marshal in 1804 - and only Marshalls were allowed to wear white feathers - to recognize them during the battle...

Cheers

Rigo based his plate on an engraving by Voltz in the Heersgeschichtliches Museum Wien and on the back of the plate he explains his thoughts/reservations about the accuracy of some contemporary compositions painted on demand. Why Rigo nevertheless chose to depict the maréchal with black plumes escapes me, except that he often depicted non-regulation uniforms. With flashy Murat one never really can be sure, but white feathers seem most likely. Amazing series of figures, well done(y)(y)(y)

Pierre

Angel, the figures come with bases i see above or without them?

Cheers,
Pedro.

Hi Pedro. The figures have no base. They have a tab at the soles of the feet, so you can cut it to pin the figures, levae it and adjust to terrain, or base the on slotta bses. Horses do have a thin metalic base.

Gracias amigo!
