That helmet is from the late Roman Empire, AD 193 - 211, and is of the pattern found in Friedberg, Germany. It is as shown in plate K2 in the Osprey Elite Series No. 50, The Praetorian Guard. The latter was founded in 27 BC, so could hardly have been in existence 173 years earlier, although I note the entry in your reference above.

It's still a good looking figure of a rarely modelled period.
