I've seen this one being concieved from the skeletal armature to the actual painting and must say that my club mate Stephen did an impressive job of both figure and bridge portion alike!!!

Good luck Matthew!!

Thumbs up both to Steve and Matthew for this creation, really looks good! I really like the romantic serene atmosphere making it a solo vignete! PROSIT!!!!

Sorry to be a killjoy but the daisho were always worn with the cutting edge upwards if pushed into the obi!

The tsuka on both the katana and wakizashi also look short, using the number of diamonds as a guide; for example this is fairly typical.

Just ordered one of these, cant wait to get it in the mail, another Samurai for the collection. Also agree with Einion in regards to the placement of the swords. Still didnt stop me from getting one though.
Cheers Andrew

Einion, you're not a kill joy but ALWAYS is a bit rigid believe me!!! Also regarding the tsuka on the katana and wakizashi. With so many variants, I think you're nit picking a bit :):):)

This one came a real beauty, both sculpting and painting, and the bridge really complements it all.

Well done
