Since the same kind of discussion is here for the second time in a week, i would like to post my opinion. I see some "double standards" here. Or, one weight, two measures, if you will
First, I point out that the political commentaries are here since the top of the thread. I agree that the "timing" of the release is not the best, that the crisis in Ukraine is far from a solution (and also far to the idea of "Russian bad guys" so spread here in our hemisphere). And, in my opinion, is not the kind of figures that I would have.
But, the main arguments are: It's obviously not indented to portray a "Ukrainian protester". There are a lot of scenarios where this vignette could be situated, like Beslan or the Caucasus. And, also, about the "bad taste", I did not saw too much revolt around here against this Airborne Miniatures release...
...or this MasterBox release...
...or against Warriors/Lincoln County releasing a figure resembling a well known Chechen leader, labeled as a "freedom fighter":

And if the "freedom fighter" was a Iraqi fundamentalist? Or a Taliban? Or even Bin Laden? We would saw that kind of comment around here?
My point is: let's talk about the figure. If we talk about politics, ok, I'm favor to do that, and I usually do it via inbox, but no "moral high ground" here.
