I keep hoping to see some nice ACW busts come thru th Young line, but I suppose I will have to wait, this isnt quite down my alley interesting though

A little on the dissapointing side for me in regards to subject. I own most of the busts in the Young Miniatures range but this is not one that I will be adding.

Sorry:unsure:

Not my theme but at least this is something total different from all the WW2 and templar busts. Anyway not a "must have" for me but a kind of good idea in my opinion.

Cheers
Mike.

Hi Guys,
This is IMO probably the worst release from Young , as Grant says "Money for old rope" ...........

Come on Young Miniatures lets have something ACW or even Crimean .

This one won't be opening my wallet :thumb down:

I don't think this is totally awesome but it is still cool. I am glad to hear that Young will be producing a new fantasy line especially since there are other people out there besides historical painters. I'd venture a guess that the fantasy market is much much larger than the historical market.

I'm just getting into bust painting now after years of figure painting - and it's obvious Young Miniatures is at the top of the list. I'm a big Fantasy fan, and it's great to see that Young is branching out into that genre because I think Young Miniatures can add some fantastic quality into Fantasy Busts that is rarely seen. I just hope he doesn't give up on this line if this first release isn't very popular. I just imagine what Young Miniatures could do with giving their realistic detail to warriors, Barbarians, Elves, Mages, Dwarves, Ranges........ Could be very exciting stuff!!!!!

Keep at it Young, there is an unlimited world out there for you to tap into, make your mark, and show everyone else how it's done :)

I wish Young good luck with the line of fantasy busts, there is no doubt a huge market for fantasy figures and busts.
Fantasy pieces are not my thing but I can appreciate a good one when I see it but I don't think this is good one IMO.It appears to be a rather restrained first fantasy bust when you consider the 'fantastic' possibilities of the genre.

Although my initial thoughts were that its not what I would buy, having another look I would love to have a go at it to give it a different paintjob. I think the photo doesnt do it justice. Maybe a little tweek here or there with a bit of putty may make him look better as he looks like he's smiling, or maybe a big sword strapped to his back.
