Hi All

Sorry for this newbee question, I did search but didn't find what I am looking for.

Has anyone got any tips or links on figure and face painting using enamels.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Paul

No need for apologies Paul :)

To help with your question a few more specifics will help focus, techniques are sometimes dependant on the subject.

Are you working with a specific scale? (Larger scales and busts have differing techniques compared to 1/16 and smaller scales)

What brand of enamels are you using? (The formula in brands also varies and accordingly the technique)

Hi Gorgy

I am painting 1/35th scale WW2 figurs and mainly Tamiya

The Enamels I use at the moment are mainly Humbrol & Revell with a few Model Master, Xctracolor & WEM thrown in as well.

Take a look at Mike Blanks book, "Black and white" wherein he adresses how he works with Humbrols.

I basecoat with Vallejo and use Humbrols for shading and highlighting as I find them easier to blend. Perhaps I can help you if you have specific questions?

Cheers
