newbie sculpting question

I would like to know if anybody has any suggestions on how to sculpt fangs and long nails (the ones on the hand) in 1/6 scale?

For the fangs, I'd rough sculpt it (making sure there's some fine wire inside for strength), then carve it to final shape.

For the fingernails, I'd probably try to use round hollow styrene stock (or metal for that matter) cut in half, then shaped using heat, carving and sanding.
