Eugenio di Savoia is probabily son of Eugenio Maurizio di Savoia soissons, a son of a cadet of Savoia family, served the King of France as ambassador and soldier. His mother Was Olimpia Mancini one of the famous grandchildren of cardinal mazzarino, se was famous for her grat number of lovers, this is the Wayne be cause is not sure that Eugenio Maurizio was the father of Eugenio. He was half italian and half savoiard but he was born in France and stood in France untill he asked a military role, the King of France refused and Eugenio went to imperial court.

Pleased to announce that we will be stocking this range of miniatures from Cangrande Miniatures. Good luck with your new venture Luca! Complimenti.

When you choose a French subject, you always have a masterpiece !:D

Yes Eugène de Savoie wasn't really French, but SAVOIE is now French !!!!!!

Eugène de Savoie was born in Paris and then to the IUS SOLI was French ...

The military history was conducted largely in Austria fighting the Turkish and French
(remember the siege of Turin) so as to exalt beautiful piece French ... I do not know ... it seems more correct to enhance it as a good officer and beautiful miniature

Yes Eugène de Savoie was French, an old Noble french familly, his father was Eugène Maurice de Savoie Carignan, Comte de Soissons et de Dreux, Duc de Carignan, as we say in French "Prince de Sang".
His son Eugène de Savoie was one of the best generals of the armies of that time, he served Austria almost all his life and his cousin the Duke of Savoy.
And simply (but true a brief summary) following the refusal of Louis XIV to give him an army.
Our great "Roi Soleil" did not always have luminous ideas.
