Hi!

As usual, news from El Viejo Drágon.

Cheers,
Pedro.

"Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
We are pleased to show you a preview of the new releases for the Roma series of EVD.
This time the vignette is composed by four figures: "Anibal ad portas" resembles the farewell and anticipation of the second Punic war with a Triarius, an Equites with his horse and a young Roman noblewoman. All in 1/30 scale. As we've been doing lately, we'll offer more references than just the vignette one:
Roma 27 "Triarius. 218-201 BC"
Roma 28 "Equites. 218-201 BC"
Roma 29 "Roman noblewoman"
Roma 30 "Farewell. 218-201 BC"
Roma 31 "Anibal ad portas. 218-201 BC"
The molds for these novelties are already in process and we expect to start painting the art-box figures as soon as it is possible."

We hope hope you like the news,
Best regards,
Ramón & Su
EVD"

I have nearly all the EVD "ROMA" range and they are great sculpts and tremendous value for money. This set seems to continue the theme.

The figures are beautifully sculpted, with excellent detail, but the horse seems to be underscale a tad. Regards, SG

Great sculpts all of them, just some doubts about horse's size.
And a little off-topic comment here (hoping that someone would take note:troll:;) ):
As I virtually paint only busts, I feel envious when I see any , attic, boetian or Montefornino helmets...Looking forward that one day to see a roman bust wearing any other than the imperial gallic..In other words, I miss some early republican stuff (on busts) like the ones on this release..

SG:
With my limited knowledge, I seem to remember reading Roman horses where more like large ponies rather than what we would consider suitable for cavalry.
