Well I don't beleave it, I'm painting the same figurine myself. I think the shield design looks really nice. Not quite sure what colour to do the base, any kind of help would be very much appreciated. I would love to see your work once you have finished it.

I really like the shield and especially the worn out look at the lower part. But due to a shield in that state perhaps a few deeper cuts and dents could be painted in especially on the upper part of the shield.

Also I like the shading of the hand.

Nice touch with the heraldry design which to me resembles of the look of norse carvings and reminds us of the Normans forfathers.

Im not sure if its the angle or the picture but the whites of the eyes could be trimmed down a bit perhaps.
