I recently purchased the flat pictured below from Fredicus Rex. I've never painted a flat before but I fancied doing something different
The flat is entitled "2nd North British Dragoons at Minden" This is not a period I know much about but from surfing the net it appears that while the 2nd NBD were at Minden they didn't actually partake in the battle also the uniform depicted appear to be later possibly about the time of the battle of Blenheim
The dragoon' opponent [presumably french] appears to wearing a cuirass
Can anyone help with uniform details?
Also is anyone aware of any sites giving advice on paintig flats

There was a loooong and somewhat heated but interesting debate on this very subject at the British Flat Figure Society forums about 6-8+ months ago.

Joining the forum is free and well worth it, as is access to their Gallery.
