Afternoon Guys,

I just thought that I would post some pics of a recent commission by the Richard III Society that I completed a couple of years ago.

The Society provided me with all of their research information, as well as detailed photos of the forensic reconstruction that was done after his body was discovered in Leicester, in 2012. The bust has been authenticated and passed by the committee, including members of the archaeological team involved in the dig and is available for purchase by Society members.

Sculpted in 1/4 scale, approx, the original was done in clay over a resin plinth, with raised letters hand done in Duro. The brooch on the hat was modelled separately, again in Duro, then applied to the clay piece before moulding.

I hope this is of interest,

Steve(y)

This particular one is one of the prototype versions whilst we were trying different compounds for the bronze effect. It is actually bronze powder which has pitted the surface!! The production ones are much darker and smoother with a nice patina.(y)

I actually like the textured surface mate..........it matches the surface of the car park they found him in,
nice touch that ;) :) :D

Paul.
