Hello painters

So I burned out on my niche of 15th century military figures and wanted to try something completely different, as well as finally face my fear of painting exposed skin. It's an old 80mm sculpt by Tim Richards from 1983 that is now made by Atelier Maket. It came with both resin and metal parts.

I'm not pleased with how the mirror turned out and the camera as usual revealed some rough spots that I should probably fix but all in all this has been a fun little side project outside of my comfort zone.

Cheers
Cyrill

She is lovely, really smooth transitions on the skin and perfect low contrast shading.
You could probably have gone for a more feminine colour on the robe though.

Very nice piece as Rob said with really subtle skin painting and make to suit the age of the figure. Really well done, Tim Richards was a gifted sculptor which always makes painting a figure that much more enjoyable.

Cheers Simon

Thanks Rob!
You're right - I definitely wanted the robe to be green, however I'm currently painting up this 28mm Sorceress by Dark Sword Minis (discovered this range recently and think they're lovely) and noticed I'm getting a much nicer shade of green with Park Green Flat instead of Deep Green. Ah well, learning woes.

Darksword Miniatures are some of the best they really have a lot of character considering their size. I would also recommend Hasslefree Miniatures, the sculptor Kev White is brilliant.

Cheers Simon
