I like it a lot, but sorry, $70 or more for a single, standing, not mounted or anything 1/16 figure is not realistic for me at all.Just my opinion, but the high cost of these figs is why the recast market is thriving. I have already seen all of the other new Andrea releases in 1/16 on e-bay from Russia, for $25. I don't buy recasts, but I can understand how someone looking at the $50 difference between them MIGHT go that way. Its too bad.

Exceptionally great figure, with a very fair price to boot. $70 for a 1/16 figure, I defy anyone to find a similar figure of equal quality that sells for that level. Doesn't exist!

Very beautiful miniature. We can like or not the subject, but there we can only greet the quality of the sculpture and the paint !!!(y)

How about TWO 1/16 figures in the same box, with a base, of equal quality? I know, I have the set. For $69...

They have another 2 figure set of USMC guys knocking in a door, again, $69

Mitches carries many 120mm figs in the $44 range, not to mention some awesome Napoleonic mounted figs in the $80-$90 range. Hell, they have 200mm-1/9 scale figs for $80! Thats not even mentioning the 1/16-120mm figs, old and new, that I can easily get for $30 or so on ebay.
Sorry, no, just because it says Andrea on the box does not convince me to pay too much for it.

I really dont think you can compare like for like. I have also seen the recast you mention...only i look to see what the thieving git is producing now.

To compare what in effect is a very expensive casting to all the work that has gone into the production of a full kit is a bit naff to be honest.

Yes they are expensive but they are also highly accurate and of exceptional quality.

As with everything it costs...we all have costs that differ in our lives and in our hobby and i dont believe andrea would charge top dollar just because it made them feel good.

To each his own Jason. Pegaso 90mm figures retail for over $100, they too are superb and worth it. The figures you posted, while nice in their own, do not compare in my opinion. If they do in yours, buy them and enjoy them!

Ultimately, it's your decision on what is "value", but I see no reason to sling arrows at Andrea on a public forum just because of price, especially when compared to the other major figure companies, their pricing on this line of figures is very much in line, actually, at a discount to others.

To each their own. Its a good figure from what I can see, but nothing earth shattering. Glad I have plenty in the stash to tide me over well into the after life...or two. I don't ever want to get to the point where I believe $70 or more for single 1/16 figure is a "bargain".

Don't know the issue of "Signal", but the photo was taken on September 6, 1939 and it is a part of a Serie and Shows soldiers of the 8./Infanterieregiment 24 near Mlawa (after the battle of Mlawa September, 3, 1939)...:

Cheers

Another very nice figure from Andrea. As Jason mentioned, very high price even in 1:35. Quality have these things.
Cheers,
Pedro

Excellent figure. Not too fond on the pose of this one, but still. The whole series is impressive.
Andrea doesn't mention it but these are 3D-scanned reenactors, that's why they are so realistic and come in various scales.

Cheers
Adrian
