I'll say this for sure Malc; you're handling and painting of this figure has persuaded me that I must have one in my collection. 74mm has become my favorite scale and I'm a die-hard civil war fan. Thanks for posting your WIP

Beautiful piece Malc, cracking paint job and well displayed, love it.

Many thanks Rick.

It's a lovely figure to paint, I know you'll enjoy it.

The Mississippi figure is up next on my bench.

Great result on that guy Malc, the subtle weathering is very effective and the display sets him off nicely.

Great work Malcolm. I like the variety in colors and cut in the uniform.

One minor comment. Please skip the bush behind the fence. It distracts from the figure. It looks unnatural in its form (too high and thin) and color. It pulls the overall scene out of balance. Just some low grass or a small (low) behind the fence is enough. Then you have a nice triangle composition with pulls the viewer to the figure.

greets,
RJ

Robert, many thanks for your feedback, and you're absolutely right. It has now been removed, and looks better.
