Hey all - this one just completed; a Chasseur d’Afrique at the Battle of Sedan during the Franco-Prussian War. It’s a little gem of a sculpt in 1/16 from H&V, painted in oils and acrylics.

Stunning work Brian! :)

Cheers,
Ken

That is brilliant, really love the embroidery between the lace and on his back.

Cheers Simon

Thanks all - very kind of you.

Simon - thanks for the kind words about the embroidery - it was unbelievably finely sculpted, no idea how it was done but it was incredibly fine. Best I could do was to very gently catch the top of the relief using the side of a paintbrush.

One of my future projects, I know its dimensions (so little!!!). So, really wonderful your result!
My warm congrats!

Top shelf!!! Very nicely done indeed. You have really captured the texture of the cloth. Reminds me of Mike Butler's work.
Cheers
Chris
