Oh Dear...How Sad...Jimmy Perry

JIMMY PERRY the man who wrote so many wonderful comedy lines and Scenes has sadly passef away aged 92 last Friday.

He made so many of us laugh and also claimed Pte Pike was himself.

Rest in Peace Jimmy.

Decent run and no mistake ........... no hardship to watch the box sets I've got of his work in partnership with David Croft.
Looks like next weekend will be me sitting down with a few beers and Dads Army

I found it intersting that the dad's army boxed set has so many extras in Del

Also on radio 4 extra and the bbc website is the largely forgotten 'It sticks out half a mile'.
The same cast as Dad's army, set in the post war rebuilding of Walmington-on-sea and the saving of the pier, quite charming.
