Hi all,

I normally paint with oils, this is the procedure:

base coat: with acrilic color
Base coat: with oils, Dissolves oil to milk texture.
highlight: with oils, and blend with basecoat
shadow: with oils, and blend with basecoat.

I read that some people don't paint oil base coat, is this real?
And that they put shadows and highlight and blend with a dry brush.

What kind of brush is?

My last oil paint.

Any tutorial to read more about oils?

Many questions from a newbie.

Thanks
David

Many thanks, i think that need more experience with oils.

Only solution, practice, practice and practice without fear

THis is my way ofpainting with oils.
Basecoat with acrylics
first coat with oils and then lay in my shadows and blending with a dry stippling brush
Highlights are laid in and blended with a stippling brush.
Dont know if this helps. I love oils but am starting to learn acrylics and I am really enjoying the challenge of learning how to use them

What is really a dry stippling brush? Can you post an image.

I think that my problem with oils is that i use same brush that I use to aply shadows and highlights, and is easy to destroy blending.

Thanks.
