They're calling this Public Domain/Fair Use. Scroll down a bit and read their justification. With a magazine that old and has been off the market for so long...It's iffy. Ethical? To each his own.

Personally, I'd rather have a hardcopy to page thru.

Under US law, and possibly international law, for works created after 1/1/1978, a copyright lasts for the life of the author plus 70 years. Another fast-buck artist!
