This is one of the figures unearthed by the good wife while having a clean out ,
been lost for eons .
So put it together today while waiting on some stuff drying ,but don't know if I will paint it.

I know it is old hat but what struck me was the quality of the casting and the resin without as much as a single mould line or pin hole.

You can see from the box art which I think Verlinden was the first to do that the price is still on it ,
looks like it has been set aside for me and I got a discount of £3.70 .
It is from the time this stuff was still made in Belgium .

Needs a bit of filling but an easy fix.

Ron

I can understand that you probably meant to include a picture Ron??;)....It's the sawdust that does it:D

Nice find.

I have a couple of Verlinden Super Scale figures, and agree, the casting is absolutely flawless.

I used to love painting these figures,I must say that the castings were very well done with no seems, never did this one though Ron,be a shame not to paint him now you put him together, give him a bash Ron, I've still got 2 to do in my grey army, just waiting for the right opportunity to paint them, you got a real bargain for £3.50 though

The Panzerjager/Ostfront figure is also a great figure Ron. I remember a show that I attended back in the Eighties', there were 11 entries of this figure in the 120mm and above class. I think this figure was displayed in just about every combination of winter, and camouflage clothing imaginable. It was very popular when it was released. I still have this one, and a few other Verlinden figures in my stash. With a little rework, new headsets and weapons, most can be brought up to today's standards. The Panzerjager/Ostfront figure is still available from Verlinden. Regards, SG

Hello Ron, If you ever decide to paint it, post me a message, I'll be glad to help, have some great references on all combinations of this winter padded uniform, both waffen ss, and wehrmacht. Regards, SG(y)
