Olive wood bases for figures - NEW!

Here we are with a new production of olive wood bases for figures.
They are available in several versions:

Square base 6x6cm, height 6,5cm, profile 1

Square base, 6x6cm, height 6,5cm, profile 2

I like them ! Do you have any with pedestal ?

We have never done a square base like that with a pedestal because - in our opinion - it would be like repeating a decoration twice and it could seem a little overwhelmed.
We can always make square bases with a pedestal just like the round ones, in fact we already sell some but in different woods.

When I was in the West Bank and Jerusalem I bought a lot of olive wood knicknacks.little trays and such to adapt as bases.
Chatting to one very friendly Palestinian guy he showed me the workshop at the back of the store..LOADs of olive branches from older trees plowed up to be replaced.
He allowed me to have a root ! through the cast offs and I returned home with a carrier bag full of about 2 kilo's worth..
I can assert that it is a VERY VERY tough wood to work..but for the grain it's worth it...
If you ever get to Palestine..don't hesitate..Ask the souvenir store guys about reject bits...
