Another great researcher and illustrator of Premier Empire uniforms has left us, I just learned of the passing of Albert Rigondaud, better known as "Rigo", the author of the Le Plumet series of uniform plates. Those of us with an interest in the napoleonic armies will certainly remember him for his many articles and his uniform plates with a focus on the off-beat uniforms and personalities.
