This is one of my better earlier figures. Before I learnt that acrylics were best used diluted. I used to just layer it on out of the pot

Actually Roc it's a 54mm Metale Models figure But you can be forgiven for that one.

Seems a difficult figure to me, all that laces and broadwork. But you get the best out of it.

Marc it's indeed a very difficult figure, since it's loaded with stuff. This Hussar carries everything on him.
Roger by looking our old creations we can see our progress and what else we need to improve and work on.

I think I was being a bit ambitious with my choice of figures in my early days of figure painting. Perhaps if I had chosen something a little easier it might have helped .
At the time I was very interested in the Napoleonic period historically so these were the obvious choice.
Still, I enjoyed myself and probably learnt something along the way.
One day I'll strip them down and start again but don't hold your breath....... :lol:
