Completed One Shot (enemy At The Gates)

This is my try to paint the amazing bust of Vasili Zaitsev, by Alexandros models.
It is painted in oils over acrylics. The face is very demanding since it has to look at the same time freezed because of the russian winter but in the heat of the battle, tired because of the lack of sleep but determined to find and kill the enemy, dusty and dirty because of the fight but beautyful too as the cinema actor.
Any comment and idea, as always, very welcome.

I love everything about this bust except the eyes. Something about them that for me stands out from the rest of the bust. (maybe that'ss the effect you are going for?)They don't evoke a thousand yard stare or maybe too much cerulean blue for me

Although it probably looks better in person as most items do.

Great work on the bust.
You should consider to repaint the eyes. They are not equaal and the blue is to bright for my taste.

However the lower eyelids are not sculpted well. too thick and everted (eyelid ectropion). it detracts from the beauty of the bust.

One quick comment regarding the caption on the pictures - in case you are intending to put it on the base as a plaque - please don't
It reads "BDSILII ZDUTSZB" in Cyrillic. Use "ВАСИЛИЙ ЗАЙЦЕВ" instead

As pointed out in another post regarding this bust, you might want to add the bolt handle to the rifle...

Nice painting ...even better now the eyes have been reworked ......the bolt does need adding ...no idea why this was not included in the kit ..but easy enough to do .
