Hi Guys
I have an oriental project planned and would like to use statues of lions dragons buddhas etc (Any Scale) in the setting
Can anybody help me with manufacturers that do this kind of thing
I know Verlinden do a few but I was wondering if anybody else did
Thanks Gang
Cheers

John

Kirin had a nice set of Asian dragon sculptures that were billed as "Vietnam" era items. Of course they are older statues that are intended for a Nam era diorama, but would look good in just about any setting. They are out of production but come up on eBay quite often. Taisho Modeling also has a VERY nice Torii Shinto arch and a couple other accesories, including a couple smaller statues and a typical Asian garden lantern, all in 1/35. Check Miniature Park for details (click on the Taisho Modeling link at the top of the page). I own the Torii arch and it is beautiful. Could work with 35th or 32nd scale as well! HTH, and good luck!

John,

You can also check out local shops that deal in oriental items. I've found small statuettes and the like that are ideally sized for 54mm or 1/35 scale. I recently picked up some small bronze statues of various Hindu gods such as Ganesha and Shiva. Hope this helps.

Hi John,

I have used figures and other decorative items from nurserys that
sell Bonsi plants. Those items are not too bad in scale.
You can probably look on the Internet and find companies that
sell those items...

Just an idea.

Hi John !
I can probably get you the stuff locally here in Singapore (lions, Buddha, dragons , etc.) as I live near a store that sells these things. Drop me a PM ASAP if you are keen and we can work something out. Cheers !
