Jesper, I think that the current price is still quite high. I recommend that you check for this kit on ebay - you might notice that there are offers "without box" which of course indicate that the kit is not an original Kirin kit unlike yours. - When the kit was released in the nineties the retail price back then was equal to about 30 - 40 Euro.
It is in my eyes an "all time classic"-kit but today`s first rate resin kits in that scale can maybe serve as another benchmark for your calculations....
My two cents - Good luck with the sale!
Cheers, Martin

Hi Martin.. I admit when setting the price, it was a matter of "supply and demand".. I know the kit occasionally is sold on ebay at a much lower price from a seller in Hong Kong. I believe, that it is a recast of unknown quality. I can't find any original kits out there.
But to anyone interested, I will consider offers on this one..

Jesper, a few weeks ago one of these (an original figure in its box, not a Far East pirate repop) went for about £35 on eBay in the UK. It attracted quite a few bids as I recall, but that's still only around EUR 40 at the current exchange rate.

I'm not in the market for one myself, it's not a figure that has ever appealed to me. But I thought I'd pass that on as you may find it useful as a guideline in terms of what you can expect.

Of course you could take a punt and offer it up for auction on eBay. You never know, you may get considerably more - or a lot less and be disappointed. eBay is always a gamble (plus of course you lose around 15% of your money in fees). Personally I reckon EUR 40 is about right, in view of both the current economic climate and the fact that although it's comparatively rare, it is no longer a state-of-the-art kit.

Hi Jesper,
I do not want to advertise this seller but some time ago the same seller offered the kits "with box" and I bought two kits at a still very nice price. They lived up to the quality you expect from the Kirin range. Kirin was producing these kits in China while in business. Therefore I assume that this seller might have been involved in the production back then.
Steve`s suggestion sounds reasonable in my eyes. That price would compare to todays high-end kits of the same scale. But that is of course absolutely your decision. I liked this kit and still have an untouched copy while I built one when it was released in the nineties. Sculptor Mike Good - what else to say about the quality?
Here is my painted sample to assist in advertising your offer:)

I still think the kit is worth a little more than 40 euro.. And even though Martin says its my decision, I am obviously not the one setting the price here.
I don't think I will manage to complete a sale here now as this thread has developed.
But as said earlier I will consider any offer for this kit above 40 euro.
Send PM if interested

Okay.. I guess, I was "way out" when setting the first price. Or maybe all the "connossieurs" in here already have one of these in their stash.

Price is now 40 euro + postage
