Here is my attempt at the great "Over The Top" bust by Model Cellar. I have depicted him as a Captain of The Norfolk Regiment circa 1916. I can't take all the credit for this really, I have a lot of Planeteers to thank for their ideas and help:

Gerard (Tarracus), for allowing me to steal his idea for the barbed wire/poppy combo on the pedestal and also for the inspiration to start this in the first place (have a look at his version and you'll see what I mean).
Nap, for info on medals and uniform and also for the great reference pics in his review post.
Del, for the weathered parchment SBS.
Ron Tamburrini, for knowing what kind of base I wanted even though I didn't know myself (I know I used the base the wrong way round Ron, please forgive me ;))

He is painted mainly in water mixable oils with the odd splash of acrylics here and there. Comments and critique are welcome as I'm very much still in the learning phase. I entered him into my local club competition last night and he came second so I'm chuffed with that.

Pics were taken on camera phone.

That is brilliant Billy (y) In my opinion this is model painting at it's best.
You've taken a beautiful sculpt, developed a concept and turned it into an historical experience..... bravo.
Cheers
