Guys,

Lt General Tomoyuki Yamashita as TIGER of MALAYA ... Here's the Sculpting & WIP

OK, this is my last figure for our local club Merdeka Group Build 08 (Malaysia Independant's day celebration). 120mm single figure of the 25th Imperial Japanese Army of the Malaya invading force on 1941.

Note the tropical jungle green tunic is base on reference book "The Arm forces of WWII" by Andrew Mollo... the shirt (white) colar is worn outside the tunic colar, so the general rank partch are pinned to the lapels of the tunic ( I've mistakenly made the rank patch too big and painted gold insteed of silver!!).... :-(

Hi CPTan,

Ive already posted this on HF but in-case you didn't see, I'll do it again:

Really good job on this sculpt mate. That is a good representation of Yamashita. I like the dusty boots and the addition of the sword.

Although I'm no expert on Japanese General rank patches, I believe they should have red outer lines too. Oh well, none of this really distracts me from the brilliant figure overall.

I enjoy seeing these subjects, after Aussies the Japanese are my favourite modelling subject.
