Hi guys,

just start to paint Wittmann's black U-Boat jacket, but I need some advise.
How to paint black leather?
I use Humbrol and oils.
I thought :
Basecoat : Humbrol 33
Drybrush : Humbrol 33 + a brown color ( 26 ) .
then : Raw Umber

So, other tips are welcome.

Quick suggestion on the oils...

Ivory Black + touch of indigo+ bit of Flesh color (I use Luka Flesh 4) + tiny drop of linseed for shine.

Highlight is Lukas Flesh 4 and Shade is Ivory Black + indigo.
Go back and touch up shade and high with these when the first wet on wet is dry.

I used this on black boots on an ACW figure that I am working on and I like the effect.
