Hi
Sorry for all the images but these might help
They are 200mm, 75mm and 54mm, the eyes alone are taken blown up full screen size
I start with acrylics, black circle, light blue then pupil
I go over the blue blending oils and last highlight
I paint all eyes the same at all scales but I know there is some debate to how much to include in small scales
Hope this helps
Best wishes

A couple more
I prefer blue eyes, any blue will do, I use Andrea basic blue and add a small amount of black
When adding the light blue a little grey tones it down slightly, if using acrylics just ignore the oil bit mentioned above. I only add it so it fits in with the rest that I paint in oils
