Very enjoyable build this one.

Painted in Vallejo Acrylics.

The DPM is a reasonable representation (I hope), rather than an exact facsimile.

Thanks to Jimmy O'Connell for the help, and reference material, much appreciated kind Sir!

I hope I've done Rob's excellent figure justice.

Cheers for looking.

Mark.

Hi, I am sorry but it looks like nothing I recall for 1982, we never wore berets on the walk across, or carried bed rolls, that was RM thing, we did not carry sleeping bags like that, we did not carry bergens, they were only carried by radio ops, and medics, plus the bergen does not look like a Para bergen, we only wore fighting order for the walk across, the Royal Marines (45) carried all their kit, we chose to move with just ammo and food as we knew our first stop was Teal Inlet 30 mile away and we could make best speed towards it, that figure looks awkward, you could not operate like that. sorry, the paint is nice.

I like this Mark. Rob at Imperial Gallery has got some great Falklands figures in his range.
Thanks for sharing this one.
Cheers

Though I agree with Jimmyoc,I think you have done a good job on the camo other parts like the beret and boots and scope could have done with a bit more shading. But overall a nice paint job.Have fun painting that is all that matters
Ralph

Sculpting inaccuracies aside its a great paint job IMO one other thing I saw which oddly enough I was talking to Gary about at S&L was neither of us can recall wearing/seeing the small union jack patch worn on the arm although it was 32 years ago and these days I'm foggy what breakfast was by dinner time
Steve

Hi Steve, the Union Jacks wear worn on the windproofs, you can just make out the one on the bloke on the left,

This next one taken in Port Stanley,

But not all windprooofs had them, hope this helps,
bye for now Jimmy
