Hi Ian - just my observation, I feel that the helmet could have a few more millimetres added in height on the crown, where the button vent is.... it looks a bit low as it is, less dome, more ellipse...

Hi Valiant I will pass it on .but it was based on quite a lot of info on the helmet supplied by Richie but will take a look at it again. cheers

I believe the RN equipment had a pouch at the back. The short straps on the haversack could be attached to the shoulder straps and worn on the back.
The figure is comming along nicely.

I am working with a lot of referencies. The only thing that is for sure is that there were a lot of minor changes un the RN equipment in those years.

Edward, their has been a lot of research done on this figure and a large amount of research info has been used with regards to the helmet and other equipment. i'm sure any thing that needs doing will be done to make this is as accurate as Diego can get it. as he says we found that the naval Brigade went through a lot of equipment changes during this period. and it's been difficult to pin down one set.

as you can see we have worked from info that we have found and have been given by PF members thanks guys you know who you are.

Was just an observation - I am a big fan of Diego's sculpting and I love the subject matter.

Hi Edward we thank you for your observation we do try and take onboard what people say. we just wanted to let people know that we do research the masters we produce and that a lot of passion goes into each and everyone.

We like the fact that people want us to get it right, we do not feel we are being criticized just informed and given info so observations are welcome.

Researching accuracy of figures can almost be a full time job itself. This is particularly exasperated when depicting a soldier whilst on campaign.

I've tried it myself. You get different references contradicting each other..... good luck!

I know what you mean it's been a nightmare as equipment changed so much and was sometimes mixed on campaign. all we can do is our best to deliver what we have researched.
