Hi guys ,

After spending a longtime painting the Frank Miniatures bust of the WW1 German ...I grabbed a can....shook it with vigour .........

With what I thought was dull cote ...........

Guess what ..it wasn't ...it was gray primer ...oh b#ll%*ks

Cue sobbing hysterically ....

Good thing is it was only a split second before I noticed the difference in smell!,...but enough to mean I have to repaint at least the rear!

So ...check the cans!!!!!..

You all have my permission to laugh hysterically ..I will need to buy resin to help my recovery!!

Sorry to hear that Nap - and thanks for the reminder.
I have previously squeezed a new bottle of scale75 metallic paint onto my palette not realising that unlike the Vallejo bottles the tips are sealed when brand new - rather than thinking I forced it harder and harder until he whole tip shot out along with the contents of the bottle - all over my model and workspace. I put it down to a learning experience.

Cheers

Kev that's sad, you have my sympathy.
When you've repainted your rear,
who's volunteering to do the touching up ?
For once I'm glad to be at the other end of the country
Best wishes
Paul

Yep..should have grabbed the Field Grey Primer.
Colin...that's the trouble I did!!

Mat.. Oh my ..I have done that as well..is there any hope!

Mick...b and b it is!

Paul....go on you know you want to do the touching up....there are such things as post coaches nowadays!!...latest thing in this area!

Oh well..live and learn and I love the figure lots ...good thing no flesh was affected

Nap..still full of tears

Primer ? .... Primer? ....... Pri...Merrr

Naah give up Whassat?

Am I missing some........ Strike that I know the answer.
How many bristles short of a sable did you say I was ? :D

Hey Nap, that's harsh punishment for a small mistake.

To avoid a repaint, why not paint the rear black, with some blending towards the front...as a shadow. If only the back is affected? Call it the frontal lighting scheme and place the figure/bust at the rear of the cabinet.

Cheers
Adrian
