Hi everybody!

I present the newest miniature made by Eduard Rezinkov (Hart)

This is a Parthian cataphract from Dura-Europos wearing a bronze mask. Here what those guys did while fighting:
" ... The Parthian tactic was that of harassing the enemy by the hit-and-run action, dividing his forces by pretending retreat and enticing pursuit but then turning unexpectedly back and showering the foe with deadly arrows, and, finally when he was reduced in number and courage, to surround him, and destroy him with volleys of missiles."

Sculpture - Eduard Rezinkov (Hart)
Painting - Eduard Rezinkov (Hart)
Handpainted model is 54 mm scale (1/32; 2 1/2" height); material - tin alloy.

Very impressive stuff!

Parthian shot has evolved into 'Parting shot', so the tactic still lives on today.

To the figure, very impressive finish of metals, and a nice heroic trot stance.

thanks for sharing

cheers

WOW. What a beautiful piece. I have to wonder though how he could shoot with all that armour and how well the horses stood up to the weight. From the described tactics they must have done it but man can you imagine?

Great looking piece,beautifully finished metals.
But to me the horses head and neck appear too small when considering the rider and horses legs.
