Hello guys, I know we've all seen this before, here's my stab at it.
I've stolen some stuff from other people's and it's there for all to see. This was quite a trciky figure to stick together. Now I've painted it , not sure I like the face, which I found a real pig and what you see is the second draft, having stripped the first.
I've overdone the weathering on the shield in hindsight.
The digital photography picks up things that aren't there in real life.
I am not reknowned for my photography.
As always, any and all comments are welcome. Especially the nice ones!
cheers. 100_2114.JPG100_2110.JPG100_2112.JPG100_2117.JPG

Thank you all for your kind words. I'll try to improve my typing too.

Marc, it it helps, this is what I did
1. keep the head seperate from everything else and do just the face alone. This way, if like me you end up stripping it,it makes that easier. Plus, it's a heavy part on it's own anyway.
2.leave off the arms and everything else off the main body off the figure, paint those seperately if you like - except the arms.
3.Now the tricky part - assemble the unpainted arms after you've done everything else.
4.Do the arms.

Just my suggestion. I found that you're always roughly handling those arms, and will only succeed in taking the paint off anyway.

I hope this helps.

Looks good, especially the shield design and the standard. I suspect that the photos in no way do it justice.

Thank you all.
Yes, it's all about the flag & shield. Those two elements are what makes or breaks this figure.
Make those as good as you can and the rest.... well, you may get away with!
